These terms govern your purchase of services and digital products from The Namesake Studio, a business name of Reverie Collective Ltd., 129 Levirs Avenue, Kimberley, BC V1A 1X6, Canada. By purchasing a service or product from us, you agree to the terms below.

Our services

The Namesake Studio provides baby naming consultation services, including The Discovery List, The Signature Consult, and The Heirloom Package, along with the digital guide The Art of Naming. Each service is described in full on our Services page at the time of purchase, and that description forms part of our agreement with you.

What we provide, and what we do not

Our work is naming guidance: research, curated recommendations, and considered conversation. It is not legal advice, and we do not handle the legal registration of a child's name with any government body. We encourage every family to confirm naming rules and registration requirements with the appropriate authority in their province or territory.

Ownership of your naming list and materials

The name recommendations, written notes, and any keepsake documents we prepare for you are yours to keep and use as you wish. We ask that you not resell or redistribute them commercially. We retain the right to reference our work in general terms, anonymized and without identifying details, in our own portfolio and marketing.

Confidentiality

Anything you share with us about your family, your surname, or your reasons for the names you are considering is kept in confidence. We use it only to provide your service and do not share it beyond what is needed to deliver our work to you.

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of booking, in Canadian dollars, through our website. Prices are as listed at checkout.

Limitation of liability

The Namesake Studio provides naming guidance in good faith and with care, but the final decision, and the responsibility for it, rests with you. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our recommendations.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it. Any dispute arising from our services will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as our services evolve. The version posted on our website at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to your engagement.
